Avantajele tehnologiei 5G

Principalele avantaje ale tehnologiei 5G sunt viteza mai mare de transmitere a datelor, latenta mai mica si, prin urma, cresterea capacitatii de executie la distanta. Cu tehnologia 5G, viteza de transmitere a datelor se poate apropia de 15 sau chiar 20 Gbps. Datorita acestei tehnologii putem sa ne bucuram de o viteza mai mare, putem accesa fisiere, programe si aplicatii la distanta aproape instantaneu si fara cozi de asteptare.

Procesele se vor putea desfasura in Cloud

Prin intensificarea utilizarii acestei tehnologii, toate dispozitivele – telefoanele mobile, computerele, etc – vor depinde mai putin de memoria interna si de acumularea de date si nu va mai fi necesara instalarea unui numar mare de procesoare pe unele dispozitive, deoarece calculele si procesele se pot desfasura in Cloud. Astfel, posibilitatea de a activa software-ul de la distanta ca si cum ar fi executat pe dispozitivele personale, ne va permite sa nu mai instalam aplicatiile mobile in terminal, acestea fiind executate direct din Cloud. De asemenea, nu va mai fi necesara stocarea informatiilor in memoria dispozitivului – fotografii, videoclipuri, etc.

Latenta mai mica

Latenta este timpul care se scurge din momentul comenzii data pe un dispozitiv si realizarea actiunii. Cu tehnologia 5G latenta va fi de zece ori mai mica decat in 4G, putandu-se efectua actiuni la distanta in timp real.

Datorita latentei reduse va deveni posibila controlarea utilajelor industriale, a logisticii si a transportului la distanta. Mai mult, cu ajutorul instrumentelor de precizie gestionate de la distanta, se vor putea realiza operatii chirurgicale la distanta – medicul va putea interveni pe un pacient aflat in oricare parte a lumii.

De asemenea, va fi posibil controlul deplin al sistemelor de transport de la distanta, automatizate si fara sofer.

Va creste numarul dispozitivelor conectate

Cu 5G numarul dispozitivelor care se pot conecta la retea va creste foarte mult, undeva la un milion pe kilometru patrat. Toate dispozitivele conectate vor avea acces instantaneu la internet si vor putea schimba informatii intre ele in timp real. Un alt avantaj al tehnologiei 5G il reprezinta posibilitatea de a implementa retele virtuale, de a crea subretele si de a oferi o conectivitate mult mai bine adaptata la nevoile specifice. Crearea subretelelor va oferi caracteristici specifice unei parti din retea, fiind o retea programabila si va permite prioritizarea conexiunilor facand fata mult mai bine situatiilor de urgenta.
